Berg is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom timber property built in 2013 and set in a lovely location within the picturesque, fjord-like village of Voe, in the central north mainland. Voe is a natural sheltered harbour and with its pier and marina is Shetland’s most Norwegian-looking village, parts of which date back to the 18th century.
The house is very well equipped with everything you will need for your self-catering holiday. It has private parking and ramp access.
The modern kitchen/dining room has fully-fitted units comprising of integrated fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, eye-level oven, microwave, toaster and dishwasher. The table seats five people. The spacious open-plan living area has a leather suite, Smart TV with Freesat and fibre wifi broadband. A sliding patio door leads to a wooden decking area with picnic table and to the garden.
The main bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite shower and toilet, the second bedroom has one single bed and one double bed. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, bedside cabinets and reading lamps. The main shower room and toilet is fitted with a large walk-in shower, heated towel rail and shaver socket.
A washing machine is located in the entrance porch and there is underfloor heating throughout the house.
A good selection of Shetland books, maps and leaflets is provided for your information.
All electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, in-house items, complimentary wifi and welcome pack are included in the price.
Children are welcome and we can provide a cot, toddler bed and high chair if required at no extra cost.

From the Lerwick ferry terminal
Leaving the ferry terminal at Lerwick turn right onto the A970 and follow it north towards Hillswick. When you arrive in Voe, carry on past Tagon Stores with fuel pumps in front (which will be on your right-hand side) and down to the bottom of the hill, then turn right at the Mulla junction, cross the cattle grid and turn right again. There is ample parking at the far side of the house. From the ferry terminal to the chalet is about 19 miles.
From Sumburgh airport
Follow the A970 from Sumburgh towards Lerwick. At Gulberwick turn left and take the B9073 Scalloway and North for about 2 miles then turn right and join the A970 for the North and Lerwick. At the Brig O' Fitch junction turn left and keep on the A970 towards Hillswick and continue as described above. From Sumburgh Airport to the chalet is about 46 miles....
