A spacious, comfortable house, recently refurbished with all modern facilities but retaining its original character making it a real home from home. Situated in the picturesque village of Aith, it is a short walk from the seafront and marina and minutes from the community co-op, village hall and leisure centre with its swimming pool, fitness and health suites. It is only 21 miles from Lerwick and a perfect central location for exploring Shetland’s spectacular scenery. Ideal for walking, fishing, birdwatching and wildlife.

There are 2 cosy double bedrooms on the first floor and 1 twin bedroom on the ground floor. All bed linen and towels are provided.
The living room has comfortable seating, freesat TV, DVD player and unlimited wifi. There is a selection of books, games and DVDs to enjoy. The dining space can accommodate up to six people.
The bright, airy kitchen has a range style electric cooker, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. It is fully equipped for all self-catering needs.
There is one bathroom on the ground floor with over bath shower, large mirror and heated towel rail. Shetland Soap Company “Michaelswood” toiletries are provided.
The oil fired central heating is included in the cost. There is plenty of on street parking.
The West Mainland Leisure Centre is only a few hundred metres away from the house and has a swimming pool, fitness suite and health suite.
Michaelswood is a wonderful wooded area which delights young and old alike. It is a novelty in this treeless landscape and one of Shetland’s most child friendly attractions, especially with the recently added dinosaur trail!
The Aith Marina in the heart of the village has boats available to charter for fishing and sightseeing.
Britain’s most northerly RNLI lifeboat is stationed at Aith Pier. The Aith Lifeboat Gala Day in June is a fun day out for all the family followed by the regatta in July which includes sailing and rowing races.
The waterfall at the Burn of Lunklett is just a 5 minute drive north of Aith. A short path leads up the burn to the waterfall. After that you can treat yourself to some home bakes from Hayfield Croft Produce’s outdoor cake fridge nearby!
