If you are looking for a more independent break in a traditional cottage with charm and character but with access to good facilities, this is the place for you. Nort Neuk offers an opportunity for a peaceful, relaxing get away in the small coastal village of Hoswick, with its jumble of cottages winding their way up the hillside from the shore.
Hoswick is part of the thriving wider community of Sandwick in the South Mainland of Shetland, just 14 miles south of the island’s capital, Lerwick and 12 miles north of the airport at Sumburgh.
Nort Neuk is ideally situated to enable access to excellent facilities in both Sandwick and Lerwick, from a cosy, well equipped base, where you can chill out or explore the rich heritage, spectacular coastline and abundant wildlife of the South Mainland. There is easy access from Nort Neuk to the rest of the Shetland Mainland and Islands including the North Isles, which can be visited in a day trip.
Nort Neuk has a small garden with alpine planting in the surrounding stone dykes and a private patio area (sitooterie) with chairs and table to enjoy an alfresco breakfast or lunch in the sunshine! A lawned area provides additional space, with a drying line for washing. Parking space is provided adjacent to the cottage.
